Community Thanksgiving day – WAU

The community of Wau had its community thanksgiving day on 13th December 2014 centered around the theme: MAKE YOUR HOME IN ME AS I MAKE MINE IN YOU.

This day was preceeded by a month long preparation with a reflection on the articles of the Constitutions and a day of prayer dedicated to the different sectors that touch our community life.

The eve of the thanksgiving day was marked by a solemn moment of prayer that gathered us together around the Eucharistic Jesus with a special reflection on our capacity to open the doors to let others in and to find a comfortable and secure place in Jesus and in each other.

The thanksgiving day itself was opened by a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr. George sdb, Rector of the Salesian community.

We spent the rest of the day in the countryside under lush mango trees where we enjoyed being together out of the normal rush.

May this day continue to be a beautiful memory as we strive to translate it into daily life.
