Class 8 students’ workshop – St. Joseph School, Wau

On the 7th of December 2013 a follow up workshop was held at the St. Joseph’s school premises, 72 primary 8 students participated, the theme of the day was “ BE A BLESSING” The day began with an ice breaker followed by the introductory words from Sr. Dolores, this soon led all to the first input given by Sr. Thuy, making our teenage Saint – Blessed Laura Vicuna known to them. They were very interested and had many questions to ask: in their group discussion they were curious to understand the relationship between Laura’s mother and Manuel Mora.
A special Mass was celebrated by Fr. Romano a diocesan priest imploring God’s blessings on them as they are preparing for their board examinations. During the Mass a penitential service was conducted where each student came forward and symbolically washed their fingers as a sign of cleansing and asking God’s blessings so that each one in turn be a blessing.
Each student was blessed in a special way by laying of hands. After the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, they all enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by games. Finally we wished them well and they all went home happily.
